DRAMA

J. Koby Parker
[email protected]

(770) 651-2755

Koby is a native of Douglas County and a graduate of Reinhardt University where he obtained a BFA in Musical Theatre. He began his professional theatre career performing in shows at both Hershey Park in Pennsylvania and Holiday World in Indiana. He then went on to continue his career in Atlanta, where he worked at the Alliance Theatre, the Atlanta Lyric Theatre, the Aurora Theatre, Bicentennial Productions, 7 Stages Theatre, Stone Mountain Park, Wallace Buice Theatre Company, the Strand Theater, and several other local companies. His arts education journey started as a choreographer for several local High Schools, and he taught dance at Orbit Arts Academy and Carrollton Center for the Arts. From there he began directing at several arts organizations in the Atlanta area and leading master classes at local High Schools and Colleges in audition prep, dance, and theatre workshops. While teaching for these different groups he realized his love of educating and inspiring young artists. Though he still performs professionally in Atlanta, he has found that his true passion lies with preparing young singers, actors, and dancers for their careers in the world of Professional Theatre. His breadth of knowledge and experience in the industry gives him the necessary knowledge to be able to take the aspiring young artists of New Manchester High School and give them the skills needed to succeed- and considers himself lucky to be able to do so in the School District where he grew up.
